The WIF Genetics Department has completely redesigned its genetic laboratory and now offers state-of-the-art DNA analysis technology for various analyses related to reproduction and fertility. The various genetic tests offered by FERTIFATE provide hopeful couples with comprehensive genetic screening adapted to each patient’s individual needs and medical history. Each of the available genetic analyses represents an integral part of our concept for well-rounded care. Genetic counseling, informative consultations, and detailed discussions about the results of genetic screenings are also fundamental to our concept of treatment at the Wunschbaby Institute Feichtinger.
One of the newest developments at the WIF Genetics Laboratory is the FERTIFATE MY IVF, which can estimate the probable responsiveness to hormonal stimulation treatment in women receiving IVF. Another new genetic test — the FERTIFATE OVO RESERVE — can identify genetic risk factors in women that can lead to the premature development of menopause already at a young age. The FERTIFATE family of genetic tests is continually growing and new genetic screenings are already in development.
Throughout Europe, the WIF is considered a pioneer and leader in the field of genetic diagnostics in IVF. The Wunschbaby Institute Feichtinger in Vienna is directed by Priv.-Doz. DDr. Michael Feichtinger (since 2018), and our branch in Baden is directed by Dr. Nazira Pitsinis.
