Durch ein spezielles Kryokonservierungsverfahren ist es möglich, Embryonen und Spermien einzufrieren und über einen längeren Zeitraum zu lagern. In Österreich dürfen dem Fortpflanzungsmedizingesetz nach befruchtete Eizellen und Samen, bis auf Widerruf der Frau bzw. des Mannes, höchstens jedoch 10 Jahre gelagert werden. Endlich finde ich Zeit Ihnen ein paar Zeilen zu schreiben.
Wir würden gerne nochmal persönlich vorbeikommen und unsere Zwillingsjungs vorstellen. Nachdem wir mit Prof. H gestern angestossen haben um unsere gut gelungenen Jungs zu feiern, wirds höchste Zeit sich bei derjenigen zu bedanken ohne der wir NIE soweit gekommen wären. Hätte uns letztes Jahr um diese Zeit jemand gesagt das wir heute mit zwei gesunden Jungs dasitzen, ich denke den hätte ich nicht ernst genommen und wäre womöglich am Boden zerstört gewesen. Heute bin ich zwar müde aber irre glücklich ;-) Kurz Zusammengefasst:Nach einer durchwachsenen Schwangerschaft - welche übrigends wirklich toll von Prof. H betreut wurde (herzlichen Dank nochmal für Ihre Empfehlung - er war/ist genau der richtige) - sind unsere Jungs am 10. Juni (35+6 ssw) zur Welt gekommen.Bernd: 47cm 2320g und Simon: 48cm 2470gAlso ich habe wie versprochen auf meine zwei Blastozysten aufgepasst, wir hoffen sehr das unsere vier, welche noch auf Eis liegen, weiterhin gut versorgt werden. Wir denken jedenfall auch an die vier. Mal schauen was die Zukunft uns noch bringt.Alles was ich sonst noch sagen kann - DANKE!Wir haben uns wirklich gut aufgehoben gefühlt - wohl mit ein Grund warum dieses mal doch alles anders war. Und auch wenn Zwillinge doch anstrengend sind (jaja wir haben wohl ihre wahrnung nicht genügend ernst genommen ;-) würden wir nichts anderes machen.In diesem sinne - schönes Wochenende. What does IVF mean?
The abbreviation IVF stands for In Vitro Fertilization and means fertilization that takes place outside the body. Your caregiver will be happy to provide you with further details.Which treatment methods are offered at the Wunschbaby Institute Feichtinger?
- Ovulation detection
- Ultrasound and 3D-ultrasound
- Hormone balance tests (between the 2nd and 5th day of the cycle)
- Hormonal stimulation of the ovaries
- Insemination (introduction of partner’s sperm or from a sperm donor—within theframework of Austrian legal regulations—into the vagina)
- IVF (fertilization outside of the body)
- ICSI (Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection) - a single sperm is injected directly into theegg cell.
- MESA (Microsurgical Epididymal Sperm Aspiration) - Sperm extraction from theepididymis
- TESE (Testicular Sperm Extraction) - sperm extraction directly from the testicles 50

What preliminary findings should you bring with to your first appointment?
All diagnostical findings that have already been collected in order to avoid duplicate examinations, as well as the following basic examination results: Rubella titer, Secretion aerobic and anaerobic, chlamydia smear, PAP and hormone status of the female patient, sperm analysis including bacteriological examination of the male patient, as well as HIV and hepatitis B and C serology of both partners.Who performs the procedures?
The operations, such as punctures and transfers, are performed by our highly qualified team of doctors. Your Wunschbaby doctor and caregiver will accompany you throughout your entire treatment with us at the institute.Who guides us throughout our pregnancy?
Usually your regular specialist, but we ask that you come to us for a final ultrasound examinations three weeks after the positive pregnancy test. The pregnancy test is carried out either at home or at our institute.Is there any financial support for IVF treatment?
Yes, the IVF Fund was created by law in 1999 to provide IVF treatment and financial support to childless couples. It covers 70 percent of the costs of four IVF trials.Which criteria must be fulfilled for the IVF fonds?
Both partners must be insured with Austrian health insurance. Details for non-Austrian citizens can be obtained from our patientcare advisors. Age limit for women is 40 years and 50 years for men.The following criteria must apply for IVF:- Fallopian tubes closed on both sides, removed or non-functional
- PCO syndrome and endometriosis
- two sperm analyses at least four weeks apart, both no older than two years, confirming severe male infertility (density < 10 Mio; motility < 30% or pathological forms > 70%).
