IMSI helps to choose the best suitable sperm for artificial fertilisation and ICSI.
The quality of the sperms is often responsible for an IVF-failure. A new microscopic development improves sperm analysis substantially.
IMSI stands for Intracytoplasmic Morphologically selected Sperm Injection. This means that spermatozoa are analysed at a 6000-time magnification and only those sperms will be used for injection into the egg which may lead to the best outcome.
The „Wunschbaby-Zentrum“ is one of the first Austrian institutes which offers this method especially for patients with failed IVF-attempts.
